Exceptional Preservation of Fossils in Pyrite

A small selection of exceptionally preserved pyritized animal fossils is displayed here. The specimens come from three sites: The Ordovician of New York State, the Devonian of Bundenbach in Germany and the Jurassic of La Voulte-sur-Rhone in France.
